On May 3rd & 4th, hundreds of marketing and digital experts will descend on Boston for our annual SearchLove conference, a two-day intensive experience guaranteed to leave you feeling smarter and more prepared to tackle the ways of the web.
Alongside those in attendance will be our 16 industry experts, with our long-standing emcee, Rob Ousbey (who has occasional nuggets of insight to share, too), making 17. Over the course of the conference, you’ll be invited to share in the knowledge of these well-known faces. So without further ado, here’s our lineup:
Continuously rated as one of our top presenters, local Bostonian Larry Kim will be stepping away from his desk once again and imparting his thoughts on how digital marketers are supposed to drive increases in conversion and drive down costs. You can of course expect a ton of new social advertising hacks.
The famous Rand Fishkin will be enlightening us all with his latest insights into our fascinating and ever-changing industry. We guarantee you’ll sit up straight once Rand takes to the stage.
Distilled CEO, Will Critchlow will kickoff day two in style. You can expect to hear his latest thinking on the future of Search, trends set to take over the search landscape and how we need to adapt our strategies to reflect these new ideas.
The talented Mack Fogelson, Founder of Mack Web, always brings an abundance of energy and excitement to the SearchLove stage, so we’re delighted to have her back. Mack will be sharing her take on why content strategy alone is not enough. This is a hot topic, so don’t miss out.
Are you tapping into automation for keyword research? If not, why not? Paul Shapiro, SEO Director at Catalyst, will help us all to get to grips with how useful automation is on SEO-focussed projects. Expect this session to be super actionable, you’ll walk away armed to begin automating the moment you step back in the office.
One of the foremost experts on Google Tag Manager, Simo Ahava, will be walking us through what he considers to be the essential steps a search marketer should take when implementing a web analytics tracking plan on their website. You can expect to be showered with links, tips, tricks and resources to keep you up-to-date with everything the web analytics world has to offer.
Litmus’ VP of Marketing Justine Jordan, another local Bostonian, will be heading to SearchLove, where she’ll tell us all how to use design as a construct for creating a powerful email marketing strategy. Justine feels very passionately that human-centered design experience is critical for success.
A new face to SearchLove is Marcus Tober, founder of SearchMetrics. A self-described Big Data and stats geeks, Marcus is frequently asked to comment on trends in the industry. We’re excited to see what he has to share with the SearchLove crowd.
Our highest rated session in San Diego last year came from the wonderful Kindra Hall. Kindra is an expert on storytelling. We have invited her to present her art of storytelling to our Boston audience. She’ll take us on a journey through the irresistible power of storytelling, and exactly what that can do for your brand.
We’re all creating content, but how does that content get coverage? Britt Klontz, our expert PR Consultant here at Distilled, will guide us through her experience and expertise in pitching to the media. She’ll share her tips as a PR on getting the focus right for your pitch with real examples of work we’ve had success with on the web.
We first welcomed Mike King to SearchLove in 2011, and we’re delighted he’s joining us once again. Mike will be discussing a bunch of new and exciting tips and techniques he’s learned in his role as iPullRank Founder.
We’re all too aware of the importance of understanding what a user wants when they land on a site, with Google increasingly looking at on-site metrics like bounce rates. But do we actually know what our users want? Chris Dayley, Founder of Dayley Conversion will show us exactly how A/B testing can reveal powerful insights about our users.
Need help with local search? Then we have just the session for you. Mary Bowling, an expert local search practitioner, will be leading us through her approach to increase discovery, attraction and engagement for your local business in 2016. Specifically, Mary will look at how to produce content that satisfies the local user’s wants and needs.
Wil Reynolds needs little introduction these days, he’ll be sharing exactly what he has learnt in his years running SEER, including the importance of frameworks and how you can build scalable and repeatable processes to assist with your marketing efforts. Wil always has tactical examples and war-stories to share.
Are you up to speed on all things mobile? Fear not, Mobile Marketing Specialist, Emily Grossman will be joining us and will cover a plethora of mobile matter during her session. You can expect insights on apps in search, the mobile web and emerging and predictive search. This is a must see session!
Finding a local business online is no longer as easy as following a simple map to the big X, so says Greg Gifford, Director of Search & Social at Dealeron. Come to this session to learn how Local Search has changed over the last year, the importance of the current ranking factors and how to optimize for both on-site and off-site signals.
Last but by no means least, there’s our trusty emcee, and Distilled’s VP Seattle, Rob Ousbey. As well as looking after the proceedings, he’s known to share a few excellent pieces of advice. He always brings his A-game during the ‘Let’s get Real’ session at the end of the first day, where all speakers give up one piece of extra-special advice.
So there you have it. We’re already counting down the days until we arrive in Boston. Grab your ticket today, the early bird rate of $899 won’t be around for much longer!
