We put a lot of effort into making Distilled a fantastic place to work. We recently had an all-hands email thread while we were redesigning our jobs page (coming soon!) where the whole team discussed what brought them to Distilled and why they are still here.

Our core values might help. The people who do best at Distilled are those who embody those values and who are at their best operating in an environment where they are expected to take ownership and get things done.
These are the things we care about. We want to find the very best people regardless of who they are – so please do think far and wide. (The popularity of the Apple Watch outside the classic geek gadget crowd is one of the reasons we picked it as the reward and we’ve been making changes to our processes to crack down on even unconscious biases).

Some lightweight rules
We try not to be too onerous with the rules, but we need to have a few:
- This offer is open for candidates referred to us before the end of September 2015 or until we update this post to end it
- You’ll need to be in the US or UK for us to send you a watch, and this offer is obviously not available anywhere it’s prohibited
- We’re not going to be getting you a top-of-the-line Apple Watch Edition, I’m afraid. You can have any Apple Watch or Apple Watch Sport up to a maximum value of £649
- We aren’t actually going to limit you to Apple Watches (which do still need iPhones to be any use). If you’d prefer an Android watch or tablet or a great Kindle, we’re open to your ideas, up to the same value
- Make sure you get any applicants you refer to mention you in the “other information” section of our application form
- Play nicely and don’t abuse our kindness
